Squarespace website design for Kings Highway Beautification Association

The Kings Highway Beautification Association is a non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents of the Midwood and Gravesend neighborhoods of Brooklyn through horticulture and neighborhood cleaning projects. The leadership of KHBA came to me with a partially completed wireframes and a dated logo. I took their text and images and organized them into an effective website, using fonts and colors that best represented their mission as both a civic and environmental organization. I also employed a (still to be populated!) neighborhood directory to help the community grow.

Johanna took our disparate content and images and brought everything together and to create a look that’s both cohesive and appropriate. Her quick and thoughtful responses made the process, which could have been laborious, feel easy. Since launching the site we have more credibility when we reach out to civic leaders and local businesses.
