New York Transit Museum
EXHIBITION DESIGN / GRAPHIC DESIGN / PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
From Fulton Ferry: Building Downtown Brooklyn traces the impact transportation has had on Downtown Brooklyn for more than 350 years, from the first ferry to the present day. Housed underground in an authentic 1936 subway station in Downtown Brooklyn, the Transit Museum offers changing exhibitions as well as a rotating selection of twenty vintage subway and elevated cars dating back to 1907.
The museum had 40 pages of thumbnail images and text overlapping time periods to transform into an exhibition in a decommissioned subway station. Using color and visual motifs we created an exhibit that was attractive and easy to follow. We were able to achieve the museum's priority of creating a space that was interesting and accessible to school groups.
