EXHIBITION DESIGN /  GRAPHIC DESIGN / PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

Tony Phillips is a Professor of Mathematics, Emeritus at Stony Brook University celebrating over fifty years on the faculty. He is an avid collector of pre-Columbian textiles because he is fascinated with the geometry within these pieces. The Simons Center for Geometry and Physics at Stony Brook University honored him with this exhibition of textiles from his collection.

I developed the graphic concepts, illustrations, and exhibition layout, and managed production of all the graphics and casework. This included three mirrored cases as Tony Phillips wanted to display the pieces so the visitor could see both sides simultaneously without a reprographic. The exhibit opening culminated in a day-long symposium bringing together experts on textiles and other aspects of mathematics.
